'Framing our Future' with ArtCan VR

  • Susan Clare Fine Art 20 High Street Benfleet, England, SS7 2PB United Kingdom (map)

I’m thrilled to be showing a piece of portraiture in the ArtCan virtual Gallery, for Framing our Future: Making it in 2022. In alignment with the International Women’s Day Celebrations on 8 March, the exhibition curated by Yeside Linney and Wilmaworks, addresses current cultural attitudes to women in art, challenges and successes.

Framing our future' is a virtual exhibition for International Women’s Day 2022.
It will be held at our very own ArtCan gallery. Building on ArtCan’s international membership and founding principle of fair pay for artists, the exhibition will focus on the incredible art our women members are producing.

Showcasing artists such as Siusan Patterson @siusanart (recipient of the Royal Scottish Academy (SABA award 2021); Emma Copely @emmacopleyart (Shortlisted for The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize); Catalina Chirstensen @catalina.christensen (Co-founder of The Wilderness Art Collective); Laura Parker @lauraparker_uk (shortlisted for the New Emergence Art Prize 2022) and Helloise O’Keeffe @heloiseokeeffe (finalist in the British Contemporary art awards 2022).

With works traversing sculpture, photography, watercolor, textiles and print, this exhibition provides an opportunity to access some of the emerging front runners in today’s contemporary art scene.

Curated by our member artists @yesidelinney and @wilmaworks

The private view is 8th March and will be held online. Register via our ‘exhibition and events’ page on our website www.artcan.org.uk
