After my demo for the Mersea Island Art Group, I received this note from the organiser:
Thanks for a great evening on Friday, I have been with my group and that is confirmed.
I have not heard so much praise before and it was genuine. Ann a lady who was in the front row brought in her attempt at something based on your demonstration, Pat also on the front row brought in her scarf and cards and four started flower works during the morning. I have never seen so many being influenced by a demonstration. They all want you to come again.

Live demo and talk about the critters on the reefs in the Caribbean, that I knew during my life as a scuba diver - depicted in acrylics on canvas with palette knife work.
“That was a thoroughly enjoyable demonstration last night. Your tips and advice on painting techniques were very helpful and your descriptions of life “under water” were fascinating.”
- Mr Terry Doyle, President of the Upminster Art Society
Talk and live demo acrylic painting showing some of the creatures who made up my everyday existence during my time as a scuba diver in Jamaica.
Live painting demo and talk about my tumbling tropical garden and the challenges that presents when planning paintings. I stepped in with two hours notice to replace the scheduled demonstrator.
Live demonstration of Heliconias in splashy watercolours and talk about the challenges of painting tropical subjects. Also how my garden has inspired my work over the majority of my painting life.
Slide show & talk about my inspiration from my garden in Jamaica and painting demo in vibrant, splashy watercolours of a Red Torch Ginger Lily, one of my favourite waxy tropicals.
